DIY Molding Projects

Molding comes in all sizes and patterns. It can add texture to a wall, detail to a blah piece of furniture, custom frame some art... the possibilities only end with you imagination.

All you need is some of your favorite molding (some as cheap as $1. for an 8ft piece), an $8. miter box, a tape measure, some glue and nails.

Here is a quick look at some of the things you can create.

Make an inexpensive picture frame.

Farmhouse casual X pattern chair rail.

For a formal look you could mimic the look of rich paneling.

For a sun room or covered porch some simple molding frames.
