Bungalow Renovation

From first house, to guesthouse.

Over four decades after selling their first home, this couple bought it again for $1., moved it to their current property and "reused" it. An amazing renovation for $3200. (Yep, that's what they said)

Take a look...

All rooms were affordably decorated. In the living room the rug is from Pottery Barn and leaves from the garden were hung in frames from Ikea.

This is my favorite room. I absolutely love the chairs and they are from Pier One!

Sheets and bedding from Target. The beautiful shams are from Garnet Hill.

The wallcovering is pages from a book, The Book of Botanical Prints: The Complete Plates, by Basilius Besler. The mirror is from Home Decorators and the West Elm shower curtain hides a sliding shower door.

Proof that you don't have to build new to have new. Wonderful job.

My Recent Pet Peeve

Plastic water bottles!!! They drive me nuts. They are everywhere. What a waste.

There are all kinds of alternatives. You don't have to spend a bunch of cash on them either. There is a really cool bottle with it's own filtering system. I want one, but it's kind of spendy. Although, it would definitely pay for itself very quickly if you stop buying bottled water.

Here are a few that I like;

CamelBak Water Bottle
Super affordable.

SIGG Water Bottle
The pretty one!

Katadyn Exstream XR Purifier Water Bottle
This is the super worker with a built in filter.
