I promised some color, so here, some color and commentary.

Color is the first thing we notice, and elicits a psychological and emotional response. Knowing the ways in which people respond to color can be a powerful marketing and design tool.

Today's color is GREEN.

Green is the color of life and nature. There are many different greens. People's response can drastically change depending on the value (how light or dark a color appears), as well as the context in which the color is utilized.

Dark greens are classifying colors and therefore, only a limited number of people respond positively. Only 3% of the population responds favorably to dark blue-green, but it is the upper socio-economic 3% of the population.

Hmmm, one could only hope to have some green rooms to design in their future.

More Sweet Finds

I found another treasure. This is lace panel, it is from Newberry's, which is a store that closed sometime in the early '70's. I love this, it will be so pretty over a contrasting solid.

Finals Week

I'm almost done for the term. I have two finals this week. The hard one is today, only because it involves remembering so many terms and their use and meaning. The other one is just going to be time consuming, because it involves using a bunch of equipment and preciseness and neatness.

So hopefully this week I can start getting my stuff ready for my ETSY store. I can not wait. I also have to start working on inventory, so I can work on some venues to sell at. Can't wait.

This is what happens when you work on one project too long. By the end of the day, I had lost my mind. Not even close to what I was working on.

New Adventure~~

So today, I went back to college, haven't been in school in about 15 years or so. I am so excited, I feel like a little kid.

Taking some design classes, I have wanted to major in ID my whole adult life. My ultimate goal is to get my BA in Commercial Design. I am so happy, and I am not the only "older person" in the class, there are several of us.

I can not wait to get started on our projects. We are going to plan a home and some office space. I really like my instructor, she has been in the business for over 20 years.
